Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 31, 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on curowell.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. We believe in being straightforward about this — no legalese, no hidden trackers.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit them. They help websites remember things about your visit — like your preferences or whether you have been to the site before. Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others help us understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies

These are necessary for the website to function correctly. They do not collect personal information and cannot be switched off.

  • cookie-consent — remembers your cookie consent preference so we do not ask you every time you visit. Stored in your browser's local storage. No expiry (persists until you clear your browser data).

Analytics cookies (optional — require your consent)

These help us understand how visitors interact with our website. They collect information in an aggregated, anonymous form. We only load these after you click "Accept cookies" on our consent banner.

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — tracks page views, session duration, traffic sources, and general usage patterns. Data is anonymised and we do not use it to identify individual users. Expires after 2 years.
  • Vercel Analytics — collects privacy-friendly performance metrics like page load times and Core Web Vitals. Does not use cookies or track individual users. This runs regardless of your cookie preference as it does not store any data on your device.
  • Vercel Speed Insights — measures real-world performance of our pages. Like Vercel Analytics, this is cookieless and privacy-friendly.

3. Third-party cookies

When you click through to book a demo via Calendly, their site may set its own cookies. These are governed by Calendly's privacy policy, not ours. We do not embed third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or retargeting scripts on our website.

4. How to manage your cookie preferences

On our website

When you first visit curowell.com, you will see a cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page. You can choose to:

  • Accept cookies — enables Google Analytics for traffic analysis
  • Decline — only essential functionality runs, no analytics cookies are set

To change your preference later, clear your browser's local storage for curowell.com and refresh the page. The consent banner will appear again.

In your browser

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • See which cookies are stored and delete specific ones
  • Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set

Keep in mind that blocking all cookies may affect how some websites function, though our site will work fine with analytics cookies disabled.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. However, if you decline cookies through our consent banner, we will not load any analytics tracking regardless of your DNT setting.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use or how we use them, we will update this page and the "last updated" date. If we add new categories of tracking, we will reset your consent preference so you can make an informed choice.

7. Questions
